The BSR Philosophy
The BSR philosophy is early and unbiased insight. BSR provides clients with a competitive edge by delivering timely
answers to the questions of who, what, where, why and how in both the wireless and the video game industries:
- What is happening in the industry today, where could it go tomorrow, and why?
- Which handset vendors have the competitive advantage?
- Which video game publishers are most vulnerable?
In addition to delivering timely and accurate market intelligence, BSR provides true unbiased research. BSR is
an independent marketing research firm that is not owned by nor affiliated with any wireless service provider,
OEM, video game manufacturers, or investment firm. Furthermore, BSR does not engage in any investment banking or
brokerage services, thereby eliminating the conflicts of interest inherent in research products of traditional
equity research firms. BSR does not use third party expert networks. BSR has never, and will never, pay for information
related to its research products.
Research Methodology
BSR is a firm driven by the traditional principles and techniques of market research. Our proprietary, labor-intensive
channel survey process includes hundreds of interviews per research report across direct and indirect retail outlets.
We combine our survey results with suppliers, distributors, marketing managers and sales representatives. The compilation and
extrapolation of this fundamental market research and the anecdotal commentary from our industry relationships provides
opportune insight into the performance of the wireless and video game industries.
